Any professional mechanics here want to come live and work in the Caribbean? Paddle Wheel Adventures is a three-year-old bicycle shop on Grand Cayman and the island's first dedicated bike shop.
We are seeking a seasoned mechanic with management experience. As our lead mechanic you will do most of the wrench work, but will have assistance from less experienced but willing co-workers. It is a fairly small shop and at times you'll be expected to assist customers on the retail floor. You will be our primary bike expert, building relationships with customers and helping them with their cycling journeys, assisting with sales, and general help around the shop. The supervisory duties include assisting the owners with inventory management and ordering product both for retail and the service area.
As there isn't mountain biking on Grand Cayman, our regular clientele is the local road biking community. Knowledge of current trends in road biking is a must. A passion for road biking (someone who will help lead our Saturday cafe rides from the shop) is a huge asset.
Salary will be between $55k - $65k USD + profit sharing.
