Position: Bicycle Mechanic & General Shop Associate
This is a FULL-TIME or PART-TIME job opportunity. This position provides customer service through our rental, sales, and service departments. Daily activities include greeting customers and helping them purchase the right products. It entails building bicycles and providing service maintenance on customers bikes. The position requires 'selling the experience' of our rental / shuttle trips, including driving customers to their destinations, and setting customers up on bicycle and kayak rentals.
The ideal candidate has an interest, experience, and an appreciate of outdoor activities such as cycling, kayaking, hiking, etc. Pay is based on experience and level of responsibility.
Location: Shepherdstown, WV is a small town located along the Potomac river in the upper Shenandoah valley. This historic town is rich with independent restaurants and cafes. The region offers a wide array of recreational activities including great hikes, on and off-road cycling and flat water and rapid kayaking and river tubing.
Prerequisites 1. Must be at least 25 years old 2. Must possess an excellent driving record 3. Experience working in a bike shop 3. Can lift and carry up to 90 pounds
